IPL OPENING CEREMONY:
The 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) season will be the tenth year of the top tier cricket tournament. Vivo IPL 2017 Schedule is to start from 5th April 2017 to 21st May 2017. Opening ceremony and the finals of 2017 are scheduled to take place in Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.
IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla announced on Monday that unlike past editions, the tenth edition will not exclude any fan from the celebrations as the league plans to host eight different opening ceremonies, one before the first home game of each franchise.
The various segments of the ceremony will be on our culture, the culture and tradition of the host cities as also highlighting the high points from the last nine editions of the tournament.
Each opening ceremony is expected to be graced by a different celebrity as well.
Bollywood stars have entertained cricket fans at the start of each IPL season with the likes of Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan having performed in the opening ceremonies.
Amy Jackson, Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh and other Bollywood celebrities expected to perform at eight different venues in IPL 2017.
Amy Jackson will perform at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Apart from that we could also have a laser show and also the official digital signing of 8 captains and bringing the trophy back into play for this season.
Riteish Deshmukh will perform at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on 6th April.
Tiger Shroff will perform at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium on 7th April. Apart from him, we will also have Sachin-Jigar and the Ram-Leela fame singer Bhoomi Trivedi.
Shraddha Kapoor and Monali Thakur will perform at Eden Gardens on April 13th.
Parineeti Chopra will perform at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground on 15th April.
The ceremony starts at 6:15 on Sony Six and the match will follow at 8pm.
The defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) would be kicking things off in the 10th season, with the opening game against runner-up from the previous season Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli injured his right shoulder. Also, South African player Ab De Villiers is being rested for the opening tie with back injury. K.L. Rahul is expected to be out for the whole season, Sarfaraz Khan will miss the entire tournament after injuring his leg. So, RCB has named former Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson as the interim captain but all eyes will be big hitting Chris Gayle who holda the record for most sixes in IPL.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be hoping a grand opening under Australian David Warner. The defending champions will be need their domestic stars Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan and Ashish Nehra to once again give them a brilliant start. The good news is that they have reported no injuries in the camp yet.
